Kindergarten Music and Art Enrichment

The next step in childrens Music – keeping the enthusiasm and creativity blooming. The first goal of this class is to have fun ! The children share music making,  make up their own verses, and songs, play instruments and enjoy art and movement activities.  They build confidence though song leading and working together as a group.  Basic Music Theory is shared formally and informally. Basic Music Achievement is supported with creative interactive musical experiences. The children are given opportunities to develop skills with voice and performance and to participate in activities designed to support readiness for lessons.

 This drop-off 2 hour class is a small group for children age 5+ on Tuesday 12:30-2:30 and runs for 10 weeks.  Tuition is $225.00.   Space is limited.  Children bring a healthy snack and water to class.  Please register through

 

After-school Small Group Music - 7-9 year old:

Lot of individual opportunities for children age 7-9 years to explore and develop skills in voice and performance.  This class is developed and recreated each session based on the skill sets and musical interests of the children.  Overall the goal is to have fun but also to gain confidence and develop skills while in a supportive small group musical environment. Some formal music instruction is shared throughout the class.  All of our activities support readiness for formal instruction.  At the end of our session parents join.  Class is limited to 10 children, register early! Children should come in comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle.  

Afternoon Small Group Music for Big Kids - Age 5-7

Children must be a minimum of 5 years old, have reached or are near Basic Music Competency and have the desire and enthusiasm to learn.  The Small - Group for Big Kids -classes are small enough to give each child a chance to shine!    This 45-minute class explores beginning voice/guitar/piano and a variety of music and movement activities that provide a rich musical diet in a developmentally appropriate way (Playfully!)  Your child’s interests, ability and learning style are combined with music activities that nurtures their enthusiasm,  while building confidence, gaining experience and supporting musical achievement and skills development.  Parents are welcome to drop off children or to wait in the waiting room upstairs in the Exeter Parks and Recreation Department.
